DWI Bergen County Driver Busted With Handgun: Fairfield PD A 43-year-old Elmwood Park man who was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Fairfield over the weekend was found to be in possession of a handgun without a permit, authorities said. Man Wanted For East Orange Shooting Busted In Traffic Stop: Boonton PD A man wanted for a shooting in East Orange was arrested on Friday, Feb. 16 following a traffic stop in Boonton, authorities said. Officers observed a vehicle with dark tinted windows on Powerville Road and a license plate inquiry revealed a suspended registration and license for the owner, Boonton police said on Facebook. Family Of 13-Year-Old Killed In Crash Embraced By Newark Community Edwin Ivan Martinez was just 13 when he was killed in a car crash in Newark on Sunday, Feb. 25.The two-crash occurred at 9:41 p.m. at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Montclair Avenue, Thomas Fennelly, chief assistant prosecutor in the homicide and major crimes unit for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said. PA Driver Of Disabled Car Killed In Fiery Route 80 Crash In NJ: State Police A 59-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed in a crash between a truck and an SUV on Route 80 in Warren County on the early morning of Tuesday, Feb. 27, state police said. Man Dozing While Driving Had Syringes In Vehicle: Hackettstown PD A 46-year-old Washington Borough man was arrested and charged after police in Hackettstown found syringes in his car when he was dozing while driving on the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 23, authorities said. Man Killed By Vehicle On Route 23: Prosecutor A man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 23 on Monday evening, Feb. 26, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred on Route 23 North and Center Court in Butler, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.
