Ridgefield's Martin Park Beach Is Open For Summer Season RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Martin Park Beach offers pond swimming and boating activities during the summer season. The season will run through Sept. 7 and the park, located at 19 Great Pond Road, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lifeguard staffing is provided during operation hours from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Fairfield's SHU Business Students Prepare Connecticut Economic Forecast FAIRFIELD, Conn.. – A group of 16 students from Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch College of Business spent their spring semester working on an economic outlook for the state of Connecticut for 2015 through 2017. Children's Hospital At Montefiore Enjoy Family Fun Day At Rye Playland RYE, N.Y. -- Patients from the Children's Hospital at Montefiore enjoyed a family fun day at Rye Playland on Saturday, June 27, thanks to the ongoing support of the Adam Gayne's Foundation. Nearly 300 pediatric cancer patients enjoyed the rides, food and festivities. The Adam Gaynes’ Foundation, also known as Chillin’ With Adam, was founded by David and Arlene Gaynes who lost their 11-year-old son Adam to a brain tumor in 2004. To date they have raised over $2 million to fund programs at hospitals throughout New York that help make life easier for children battling cancer.

Darien Residents Provide Programs For Kids At South Dakota Reservation DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien residents Jake Greene and Liz Morrissey never thought they would spend two weeks living on an Indian reservation in the middle of the rolling prairies of South Dakota, until they joined the Darien YMCA’s partner, the Sioux YMCA, in the Sioux YMCA Initiative this spring. The Sioux YMCA Initiative began nine years ago as a way to provide day camp-type programming for the children living in various communities on the reservation.
