She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. CT Woman Fires Shots At Police Front Lobby Before Being Subdued With Taser, Police Say Connecticut State Police are investigating after a woman walked into a police department lobby and began firing multiple rounds into the front desk office window which was unoccupied at the time. The Hartford County incident took place in Bristol around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Bristol Police Department located at 131 North Main St. According to Bristol Police, the rounds did not penetrate the bullet-resistant glass but prompted officers to respond and make contact with the woman. CT Man Who Flashed His Genitals At Two Women Caught, Police Say A Connecticut man has been charged with public indecency after allegedly exposing himself on two occasions to women. Hartford County resident Alexander Smith, age 18, of Farmington, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 5 for the incidents that took place in August. On Sunday, Aug. 20, the Farmington Police Department received a complaint that a male riding on a moped exposed himself to a woman who was walking in the Devonwood area of Farmington, said Lt. Fugitive Wanted On Child Abuse, Burglary Charges Caught In Norwalk A man wanted on child abuse and burglary charges was nabbed at a Fairfield County hotel after being notified he was in the area. New Jersey resident Juan Marales, age 41, of the township of Edison in Middlesex, was arrested in Norwalk on Thursday, Oct. 5. According to Lt. Hudson Valley Man Dies After Becoming Trapped Under ATV In Stream A man who was reported missing after a day of riding his ATV was found dead underneath the vehicle in a stream in the region. The Ulster County incident took place in Port Ewen on Tuesday, Sept. 26. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police, Wayne Nickerson, age 47, of Port Ewen was reported missing by his partner after he failed to return home from a ride on his ATV. Speeding Driver Takes Police On Pursuit In Hudson Valley, Receives 28 Tickets A speeding driver who thought his license was suspended was charged with reckless driving in the Hudson Valley and received 28 tickets after fleeing from state police. The incident took place in Orange County in Goshen on Route 17 westbound around 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 1. Hudson Valley Prison On Lockdown After 24 Hours Of Violence A Hudson Valley correctional facility is on lockdown following 24 hours of violence.
