James Beard Award-Winning Chef To Speak At Stamford's Ferguson Library
Iconic chef Jacques Pépin returns to his old stomping, or stirring grounds to promote his new cookbook and talk cooking.
Pépin, the former owner of the Dressing Room restaurant in Westport, will appear in Stamford at the Ferguson Library on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. to discuss his latest book, Cooking My Way: Recipes and Techniques for Economical Cooking.
The evening presentation, to be moderated by Michel Nischan, a four-time James Beard Award winner, will be held at the Main Library, DiMattia Building.

Norwalk Vape Shop Sold To Minors, Open Without Permit, Police Say
A Fairfield County vape shop employee was charged with illegal/manufacture of cannabis for allegedly selling marijuana to minors following an investigation.
Jelani Carrion, age 30, of Norwalk, was charged during a warrant search of Vapesmart Vape Shop, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 203 Liberty Square, in Norwalk.
"This investigation was the result of numerous complaints regarding the sale of marijuana without a proper license and the sale of vape products to minors," said Lt. Tomasz Podgorski, of the Norwalk Police.

18-Year-Old Dirt Biker Nabbed For Reckless Driving On I-84 By TikTok Video
An 18-year-old Connecticut dirt bike rider has been hit with multiple charges for allegedly driving recklessly on I-84, causing a traffic hazard, said state police.
Tolland County resident Hunter Shawn Laforest, of Ellington, was charged on Friday, Sept. 22 by state police for the incident that was caught on video and placed on TikTok on Sunday, June 25.
According to Connecticut State Police, troopers have received multiple complaints regarding dirtbikes riding on roadways, operating recklessly, doing "wheelies," and causing traffic hazards.
