CT Man Attempts To Expose Child's Genital Area At Birthday Party, Police Say A Connecticut man is behind bars on bond after allegedly attempting to expose a 9-year-old's genital area at a children's birthday party. The incident took place in Hartford County on Saturday, Sept. 30 in South Windsor. According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Scott Oliver, age 35, of Bloomfield, was charged after he allegedly made physical contact near the waist area of the child while trying to force the clothing down to expose the juvenile's genital area. Weaving Driver In Wilton Leads To DUI Charge For Norwalk Resident, Police Say A Fairfield County man was nabbed allegedly driving at twice the legal limit after he was stopped for driving all over the roadway. Tomas Mata Perez, age 40, of Norwalk, was stopped in Wilton on Wolfpit Road on Tuesday, Sept. 26, around 10:40 p.m. driving a 2023 Honda CRV. According to Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police, Perez was stopped after he was seen unable to maintain a lane of travel. Man Shot In Parking Lot, Suspect On Run In Norwalk, Police Say A man is recovering after being shot in the parking lot of a Fairfield County apartment complex. The incident took place in Norwalk around 7:20 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 on Fairfield Avenue. According to Norwalk Deputy Police Chief Joe Dinho, dispatch received a call reporting that a man had been shot in the parking lot on Fairfield Avenue. Patrol Officers quickly arrived on the scene and found a man on the sidewalk and began providing medical aid for his gunshot wound to the abdomen. Here's Why It's Closed Fairfield County Chick-fil-A fans who are missing their daily dose of chicken wonderfulness and wondering why their favorite fast food shop is closed, here's the lowdown. The Norwalk Chick-fil-A at 467 Connecticut Ave., closed on Monday, Sept. 25 for a remodeling project and is moving right along with progress. A Facebook post by the restaurant said the remodeling is inside the eatery, to add guest seating as well as improving the parking lot and drive-thru area. The plan is to reopen in just a few weeks. $3.2 Million In Elaborate Bitcoin Scam Recovered In Westport In a rare occurrence, the Fairfield County victim of a sophisticated Bitcoin financial crime totaling $3.2. million has received their money back. The investigation began in May when Westport Police detectives received a report that a resident had fallen for the scam. 5 Nabbed In Special Bridgeport Operation To Reduce Crime, One Still On Run, Police Say Five Connecticut residents have been charged, and one is on the run in connection with a triple shooting in which more than 40 shots were fired earlier this year.
