She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

18-Year-Old Charged With Fairfield Home Invasion, Assault An 18-year-old man has been charged with allegedly breaking into a Fairfield County home and assaulting a man as he slept. The incident took place in Fairfield on Sunday, Oct. 22 around 7:20 a.m. According to Fairfield Police, the victim called 911 to report that he had just been assaulted while asleep. Once on the scene, the victim told police he woke up "dazed and confused" as a man identified as Gabriel Garcia-Gonzalez, hometown unknown, was punching him in the face. Westchester Tractor-Trailer Driver Hits, Kills Man Crossing Roadway, Police Say A 41-year-old Hudson Valley man was found dead lying on a roadway after reports of a crash. The incident took place in Rockland Countyaround 4:20 a.m., Monday, Oct. 23, on Route 59 in Spring Valley. According to Spring Valley Police Department Det. Scooter Rider Critically Injured In Hit-Run CT Crash, Police Say A Connecticut scooter rider suffered life-threatening when they were struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver.
