Kathryn Swedock, 66, Of Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- Kathryn (Kathy) Swedock, a resident of Darien, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 31, from complications of her multiple myeloma. She was 66. Born on April 20, 1948, in Providence, R.I., Swedock was the daughter of Hubert McGuirl and Eileen (Whelan) McGuirl. Swedock grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from New York University. She met her husband, Theodore (Ted) J. Swedock Jr. in the 1960s while she was learning to ski on Magic Mountain in Vermont, and they were married in 1970.
