Laura Halliwell Kochis, 92, Of Easton, Former Pepperidge Farm Employe EASTON, Conn. -- Laura Halliwell Kochis, of Easton, died on Friday, April 10, after a long illness. She was 92. She was born in Hartford to Frank S. Brainard and Beatrice Peabody Brainard, on Sept. 10, 1923. Kochis graduated from Weaver High School and later attended Hartford College for Women, where she studied accounting and secretarial skills.She married Thomas Dean Halliwell in 1943.  After World War II, they moved to Fairfield and finally settled in Easton in 1956.
