Harrison Rescues, Spays, Neuters 60 Feral Cats HARRISON, N.Y. -- Volunteers from Pet Rescue and Bully Baby Rescue worked side-by-side with four veterinarians and several technicians to spay and neuter nearly 60 feral cats April 11-12. This was part of the Trap-Neuter-Release program conducted by the Pet Rescue facility in Harrison. According to the U.S. Humane Society, only about 2 percent of the 30 to 40 million feral and stray cats have been spayed or neutered. These cats produce about 80 percent of the kittens born in the United States. Programs like this go a long way in helping reduce shelter cat populations and to keep more cats …
