The crash happened on the night of Tuesday, Aug. 1 at approximately 11:30 p.m., according to the New York State Police. Jaron Lowndes, a 44-year-old Amityville resident, was riding his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle on the parkway, traveling southbound.
