The Dutchess County incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, in the Town of Poughkeepsie’s Arlington neighborhood. Officers responded to the area of Main Street near Raymond Avenue after the victim called 911 saying a man and woman threatened them with a knife and stole their property. The victim was not injured. Suffolk County Police said the paintings, valued at approximately $17,000, were taken from Life Storage, located on Mariner Drive in North Sea, sometime between Friday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, May 29. Emergency crews in Southampton were called to a North Haven residence on Sunset Beach Road for a 2-year-old boy found floating in a pool at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. Southampton Town Police said medics performed CPR on the child as he was transported to Southampton Hospital. The child was later transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he remained days later. The incident is being investigated by Southampton Town Police detectives and code enforcement personnel.
