Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Accused Baltimore Murderer In Custody After Years-Long Investigation, Police Say Baltimore Police have arrested a 26-year-old man they say is responsible for a 2019 murder of a 20-year-old man in the city. Melvin Wright is accused of shooting and killing Tavon Travis in the 3600 block of Marmon Avenue on Jan. 9, 2019. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Wright, who was taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 23, in the 6000 block of Green Meadow Parkway, according to Baltimore police. Detectives transported Wright to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with first-degree murder.

Baltimore police say that the two suspects are accused of shooting two men multiple times in the 5200 block of Belair Road shortly before midnight, June 15, 2021. The shooting left 24-year-old Cyril Lynch dead.
