The Spotsylvania community is mourning the loss of a 10-year-old boy. Brian "Phoenix" Clark died unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 8, following a brief battle with leukemia, according to his obituary and a GoFundMe campaign. Phoenix was being remembered in his obituary as an "old man in a little boy body" who adored his little sister, Amelia, and took a role in caring for his sister with elegance and unconditional love. Double Stabbing Suspect Killed By Police, Victim Dies In Manassas (

Two people have died in a stabbing-turned officer-involved shooting in Prince William County Tuesday, Feb. 13, authorities said. Police were called to a home on the 7000 block of Infantry Road in Manassas around 3:30 p.m., where two people had been stabbed, county police said. Officers opened fire, killing the knife-wielding man near the front entrance of the building, whose identity had not been released as of press time. 250-Pound Man Wanted For Raping VA Girl He Met Online: Police
A 26-year-old Maryland man is being sought for raping a girl he met on social media, authorities in Virginia said. Dimas Alexis Lazo, of College Park, met the girl on a social media app and arranged to meet at a home in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. Lazo was found sexually assaulting the girl inside of the home by a family member who intervened on Nov. 26, 2023, around 12:30 a.m., county police said. Lazo fled the home and has been charged on warrant with rape. He's described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8”, 250lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Man Sexually Assaulted 11-Year-Old In North Bergen: Prosecutor
A Hudson County man has been arrested for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old victim, authorities announced. Edgar Rompich-Ramos, 19, carried out the alleged crimes at a local home in 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Rompich-Ramos was arrested on Feb. 9 and charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child/facilitating child sex abuse material, and endangering the welfare of a child. TikToker Constructing Tunnel System Underneath Her Virginia Home
A Virginia resident who gained a TikTok following for documenting the construction of a tunnel in her home says she's optimistic about the future after the town put a temporary stop work order on the project. The woman goes by Kala on the app, identifies as an engineer and appears to do all of the work on her underground tunnel system by herself. FOX5 identified her as a Herndon resident. Two Barnes & Noble Stores Opening In Prince William County
A pair of Barnes & Noble stores are coming to Prince William County. One will be coming to the Shops at Stonewall in Gainesville, and the other in Bull Run Plaza in Manassas. Last month, the Barnes & Noble at Westgate Plaza in Manassas closed after 25 years. The new Manassas location located on Sudley Manor Drive is set to open in the fall. The Gainesville store is expected to open next winter, according to Joanna Rothermel, the Vice President or Marketing for Peterson Companies, the owners of the Shops at Stonewall.

Composite Sketch Of Rachel Morin's Killer Released
Authorities in Harford County have released a composite sketch of Rachel Morin's killer. The man, who has yet to be identified, remains at large more than six months after 37-year-old Morin was killed on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air. A $35,000 reward is being offered for information in her death. The county sheriff's office just this week put out a composite sketch along with a podcast featuring Capt.
