The arrest happened Wednesday, March 13, when the armed suspect fled from Virginia State Police in the stolen vehicle, Fairfax County police said. Frances Barbosa Of Bayonne Dies, 47 Frances Ann Barbosa, of Bayonne, died on Monday, March 11. She was 47 years old. Frances' obituary on the Riotto Funeral Home website says she took pride in earning her associate's degree from Hudson County Community College, and earning her real estate license. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter, Cynthia, planning parties and decorating, her obit says. "She had a heart of gold, and was always there for anyone who needed her," the obituary reads. A GoFundMe has been launched in Frances' memory. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: Three Children Hospitalized In Philadelphia Three children were hospitalized after suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Philadelphia over the weekend, police said. A 9-year-old girl, 5-year-old boy, and 4-year-old girl were taken to Jefferson-Torresdale for observation after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected at a home on the 4100 block of Stanwood Street Saturday, March 16, city police said. Police responded to a 9-1-1 call for a "priority person screaming," authorities said. An update on the children's condition was not immediately available.

Man Struck, Killed On NJ Highway A 62-year-old man was struck and killed on a New Jersey highway over the weekend, police said. John Gallic, of Glen Gardner, was struck by a Honda passenger car headed north on State Highway 31 near milepost 37.3 in Glen Gardner just after 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16, State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Gallic was killed and the Honda driver suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

A 2021 Acura RDX was traveling the wrong direction on Route 100 westbound in the area of Snowden River Parkway when it was struck by a 2010 Subaru Forester and a 2004 Lincoln Town Car around 2:05 a.m. Sunday, March 17 in Ellicott City, county police said.
