Video Shows Deadly Crash Caused By Ephrata Woman Running Stop Sign, DA Says An Ephrata woman was caught on camera going through a stop sign causing a fatal crash, the District Attorney of Lancaster County claimed in a release on Friday. Kendra Sakoian, 32 of the 1200 block of Lincoln Heights Avenue was driving a black Chrysler 300 when she was involved in a crash with two other vehicles— causing injuries that led to 49-year-old Michael Diem's death, the DA alleged in the release on Oct. 13. 2 Vehicle Crash Kills Motorcyclist, Pennsylvania State Police Say A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 16 on Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday. The crash happened at 2:02 p.m. on Oct. 11, according to the PSP release. A man's 2019 Harley-Davison Heritage Classic and another man's 2016 Acura Ilx collided at the intersection of Buchanan Trail West/Route 16 and Lindale Avenue, in Antrim Township. The Acura driver was unharmed. No charges have been filed as the PSP Chambersburg investigation is ongoing. The men's names, ages, and addresses were redacted in the release.

Man ID'd After Deadly Crash In Lancaster County: Coroner (Update) The coroner has identified the man killed in a crash in Paradise Township on Friday morning. Nickolas Dewey, 47 of Christiana, was pronounced dead at 8:42 a.m. on Oct. 13, by the Lancaster County Coroner's office. The crash happened at the intersection of White Oak Road and Route 896/Georgetown Road at 6:30 a.m., according to LCWC. Philadelphia Police Name Officer Killed In Airport Shooting (Updated) Two Philadelphia police officers were shot — one fatally — while in the parking garage at the Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday night. Officer Richard Mendez, a 50-year-old with 22 years in the department, was hit multiple times and died from his wounds, PPD brass said at a Friday evening press conference. 11-Year-Old Girl On Playground Shot, No Suspect, Philadelphia Police Say An 11-year-old girl was shot in her abdomen while at a playground in Philadelphia, authorities say. The girl was shot in the 3600 block of North 11th Street near Erie Avenue at 6:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, Philadelphia Police told Daily Voice.
