Worker Critical After 40-Foot Fall Through Skylight At Hudson Valley School A construction worker is in critical condition after falling some 40 feet through a skylight at a Hudson Valley middle school. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Union Vale Middle School in Lagrangeville. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the man was working on the skylight when he fell. The unidentified man was airlifted by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition, Harris said. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

CT Woman In Stolen Vehicle Rams Cruisers, Almost Hits Officer, Police Say A Connecticut woman was charged with four counts of alleged evading responsibility after she was caught in a stolen vehicle and rammed police vehicles and nearly hit an officer in an effort to get away. Missing Hudson Valley Man Dies After Being Caught In Current Of Brook In Vermont, Police Say A missing Hudson Valley man hiking the Appalachian Trail died after being caught in the current of a brook in Vermont, according to authorities. Dutchess County resident Robert Kerker, age 67, of Rhinebeck, who had been missing since Sunday, July 9, was located about 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, by search crews along the Stony Brook in Stockbridge, Vermont, about 1.5 miles downstream from where the trail crossed the brook. Man Nabbed In Greenwich PD Sex-For-Money Sting A Fairfield County man was nabbed after he allegedly attempted to set up a meeting with a 14-year-old girl during a sex-for-money police sting. Anti-Gun Leader Busted As Alleged Kingpin Of Hudson Valley Drug Network A Hudson Valley leader against gun violence is one of 15 people busted for allegedly dealing drugs throughout the region. Duo Critical Following PIP Crash In Hudson Valley Two people were critically injured in the Hudson Valley after swerving to avoid a large tree limb on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The crash took place in Rockland County around 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 30 on the parkway in Hillcrest, according to Trooper Steven Nevel. Murder Investigation Update: Trio Charged In Killing Of Man From Region Three people have been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a man from the region.
