Infant Assault: Fairfield Man Charged With Abusing Baby In Stratford, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with physically assaulting a 3-month-old boy after having an argument. Luis Companiony, age 21, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stratford Police following a two-month investigation into a complaint filed by a family member. According to Stratford Police Lt. Beardsley Zoo In Bridgeport Uncovers Cause Of Exotic Monkey's Deaths Following the death of two Callimico monkeys at the Beardsley Zoo in Fairfield County, zoo officials are underscoring its longstanding commitment to animal safety and welfare. The monkeys, also known as Goeldi’s, named Monty and Jovi died in August at the zoo in Bridgeport, after consuming a live mouse that had been contaminated with a rodent control product, said zoo officials following a necropsy. CT Man Charged With Leaving Crash Site, Taking Part In Street Takeover A Connecticut man has been charged with evading responsibility after he allegedly took part in a large street takeover and left the scene of a crash. 3-Year-Old Hospitalized After Fall From Third-Story Window At CT Apartment, Police Say Building officials have condemned two apartment bedrooms after a 3-year-old Connecticut boy fell from a third-floor window to the ground below. Missing: CT Man Hasn't Been Seen In 12 Days, Police Say Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help locating a missing man who has not been seen in 12 days. Hartford County resident Peter Norris, age 28, of Bristol, was reported missing to the Bristol Police Department by his mother on Tuesday, Sept. 5. He has not been seen since Friday, Sept. 1. Teen Dies After Being Shot In Face While Handling Gun With Girl In Bridgeport, Police Say A teenager has died after he was shot in the face while he and another teen were handling a gun in Fairfield County, according to authorities. The 16-year-old boy died on Monday, Sept. 11 in Bridgeport following the incident on Saturday, Sept. 9 in the bedroom of a home in the 300 block of Pacific Street. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, responding officers found the teen shot in the face. Danbury Woman, 25, Killed In Wrong-Way Driver Crash, Witnesses Sought Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal wrong-way driver crash on Route 7 in Fairfield County that killed a 25-year-old woman. The collision took place in Fairfield County in Danbury around 1:55 a.m., Sunday in the southbound lane of the highway just north of Exit 7. Trio Nabbed For Welfare Fraud In Region, Officials Say Three residents in the region have been charged with alleged welfare fraud following an investigation by the Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force. Those arrested included: Jacqueline M. Vargas, age 39, of Liberty, was arrested on Sunday July 23 and charged with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing. CT Town Employee Caught Placing Fecal Matter Under Town Hall Door, Police Say A Connecticut man has been charged with breach of peace and criminal mischief after allegedly placing fecal matter under a door at a town hall. Litchfield County resident Christopher Jordano, age 40, of North Canaan was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 6, for the incident that took place in July at the North Canaan Town Hall.
