Hudson Valley Man Behind Bars For Sharing Intimate Images Of Victim, Police Say A man from the region is behind bars without bail following an investigation for sharing intimate images of a victim. Ulster County resident Joshua Sickler, age 44, of Port Ewen, was charged on Tuesday, Oct. 3 by New York State Police, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Sickler was charged with: Unlawful surveillance Unlawful dissemination of an intimate image Aggravated harassment After receiving a complaint, Investigators determined Sickler disseminated intimate images of the victim, Hicks said. Update - Western Mass Shooting: Infant Dies Shortly After Birth, Mom In Critical Condition This story has been updated. An infant died shortly after being delivered following a Hampden County shooting just before 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 in in Holyoke at the intersection of Maple and Sargeant Streets. A pregnant woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Man Attacks Apartment Tenant With Machete In Bridgeport, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and other charges after he allegedly attacked a person with a machete. The incident took place in Bridgeport on Monday, Oct. 2 on the 80th block of Elmwood Avenue. According to police, Morris Roberts, age 52, of Bridgeport, was charged after police responded to the apartment house where his mother once lived before her death, for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon. Hudson Valley Man Indicted For Shooting Woman Sitting On Front Porch A man from the region has been indicted for the attempted murder of a woman who was sitting on her porch when six shots were fired. Ulster County resident Corey Marshall, age 34, of Kingston, was indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury on Tuesday, Oct. 3 for the felonies of attempted murder, assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Man Sentenced For Hammer Attack Of Hudson Valley Teen A Hudson Valley man who beat a teen in the head with a sharp hammer has been sentenced to prison. Orange County resident Shawn Beach, age 43, of Port Jervis was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 3 to 30 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision for the Dec. 2022 crime. Beach, who was convicted in July by a jury, had a prior violent felony conviction from 2003, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Silver Alert Issued For CT Baby Who Hasn't Been Seen In Four Days Connecticut State Police have issued a Silver Alert for a 7-month-old girl who is mixed up in a custodial issue between the mother and grandmother. Amina Cox, of Norwich, was last seen on Saturday, Sept. 30, said the Norwich Police. The baby is described as weighing about 15 pounds and was last seen wearing velvet maroon pajamas with ruffles around the neck, officials said. Hudson Valley Man Caught In Act Stealing Cash At Restaurant, Police Say A 41-year-old man Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly being caught in the act of burglarizing a restaurant and stealing cash. Ulster County resident Shane Burr, of Highland, was charged on Monday, Oct. 2 and charged with burglary and petit larceny. According to the town of Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, Burr, who has 23 previous arrests, was caught after officers responded to a burglary in progress at the Asian Garden Restaurant in Highland. Weeks-Long Cyberattack Brings 3 CT Hospitals To Their Knees A cyberattack on three Connecticut hospitals affected patient care so severely that many were sitting on the floors of emergency rooms bringing the operation of the group to its knees financially. The attack took place in August and affected Waterbury Hospital in New Haven County; Manchester Hospital in Hartford County, and Rockville General in Tolland County. $2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley Someone is doing cartwheels this morning after winning $2 million in the Powerball game with the ticket sold in the Hudson Valley. The winning ticket, which had all the right numbers of 12-26-27-43-47, but not the Powerball of 5, won the $2 million by purchasing a multiplier which doubled their winnings, said the New York Lottery. New Update: Sacred Heart University Student In Medically Inducted Coma After Fairfield Crash One of five Sacred Heart University students involved in a horrific two-car crash in Fairfield County that injured six is in a medically induced coma, according to a GoFundMe.
