Police Sergeant In Trumbull Charged With Sexual Assault
A Fairfield County police sergeant has been charged with alleged sexual assault stemming from a 2020 incident.
Matthew Perkowski, age 33, of Shelton, turned himself in to Shelton Police on Tuesday, June 7.
Perkowski, a Trumbull police sergeant and Shelton volunteer firefighter, was charged on a warrant with sexual assault and assault, said Lt. Robert Kozlowsky, of the Shelton Police.
He was released on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, June 8, Kozlowsky said.

Five Juveniles Nabbed For String Of Nassau County Business Burglaries
Five juveniles have been charged in connection with a string of commercial burglaries on Long Island.
The burglaries took in Syosset on Tuesday, June 7 at least 13 locations.

Missing South Salem Man Found
Update:
A Hudson Valley man who went missing after intending to go to a neighboring town in Fairfield County has been located, authorities announced.
Northern Westchester resident Robert Swern, age 64, left his residence in South Salem on Sunday, June, around 5 p.m. for a destination in Ridgefield, Connecticut, said the New York State Police.
He never arrived. Investigative steps thus far have placed him near Brewster around 6 p.m., and White Plains around 8 p.m. on Sunday, state police said.
On Thursday morning, June 9, state police said that he safely returned to his family.

Alert Issued For Missing Hempstead Girl
Police are asking the public for help locating a missing 14-year-old Long Island girl.
Brianna Williamson, of Hempstead, was reported missing to Nassau County Police around 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 7.
According to detectives, Brianna was last seen in the vicinity of Hempstead High School located at 301 N. Franklin St.
She is described as being Black, 5-foot-9, 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
Brianna was last seen wearing black colored pants, a blue-colored polo style shirt, and white-colored shoes.
Her destination is unknown, police said.

ID Released For 25-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed Outside Club In Bridgeport
Police have identified a Fairfield County man who died after a stabbing at a popular downtown nightclub, while a second man remains in critical condition.
The incident took place in Bridgeport around 2 a.m., on Sunday, June 5 outside of Club Azul on Madison Avenue.
Albert Josue Hernandez-Martinez, age 25, was found outside the club with life-threatening stab wounds to his “torso, head, and extremities,” said. Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.
