MS-13 Member Sentenced For Massapequa Park Preserve Murder
An MS-13 gang member of Long Island has been sentenced to 23 years to life in prison for the murder of a 19-year-old man at an area park preserve in 2017.
Kevin Granados-Coreas, age 23, a/k/a "Lonely," of Hempstead, was sentenced on Friday, June 10, said Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.
Granados-Coreas had pleaded guilty in April to the murder of Julio Cesar Espantzay-Gonzales in the Massapequa Park Preserve, the DA's Office said.

Man Accused Of Trying To Rape Hudson Valley Middle School Student
A man has been charged with allegedly traveling to attempt to rape a Hudson Valley 13-year-old girl at an area hotel.
Thomas Rivera, age 32, of Lauderhill, Florida, was arrested on Tuesday, June 7, for communicating online with the girl and persuading her to meet him in Dutchess county to engage in sex, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Gun Show In Hudson Valley Canceled Due To Recent Mass Shootings
A gun show scheduled to be held over the Father's Day weekend in the Hudson Valley has been canceled due to the recent mass shootings.
The event, the NEACA Gun Show, was scheduled to be held in Ulster County in Saugerties on Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.
The show was canceled by mutual agreement between the town and the promoter, said David Petronis, president of NEACA.
