She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Resident Jumps From Third-Story Window After House Fire Breaks Out In White Plains A large fire that began on the first floor of a Westchester home and quickly raced to the attic caused one resident to jump out of a third-floor window, injuring his ankle. The fire began in White Plains around 8 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, in an old three-story home on Hale Avenue. CT Man Who Threatened To Shoot, Kill Hospital Staff Prevented From Buying Firearms, Police Say A Connecticut man who told his therapist he intended on killing staff members at an area hospital was prevented from purchasing guns. Hartford County resident Connor Zawasky, age 24, of Windsor, was charged on Tuesday, July 12, and charged with threatening. The incident began on Wednesday, June 8, when Zawasky told his counselor that he intended on obtaining a pistol permit and buying a gun to kill staff members at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, said Sgt. Man Accused Of Pushing Woman From Car, Throwing Dog In Stamford A domestic argument led a Westchester man to throw a woman and a dog from a vehicle while two children were in the car in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Cummings Beach in Stamford around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. CT Motorcyclist Seriously Injured By Juvenile Driving Lexus, Police Say One person was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle being driven by a juvenile in Connecticut. The incident took place in New Haven County in Milford around 5 p.m., Sunday, July 10 in the area of Broad Street and Bridgeport Avenue. The collision involved a 2007 Lexus IS250 driven by a juvenile and a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle, said the Milford Police Department. Police Asking For Help Identifying Suspects In Double Bridgeport Shooting Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying suspects in a shooting by a gang on scooters and motorcycles that left one dead and another injured. The incident took place on Sunday, July 10 in Bridgeport at the Atlas Gas Station located on Fairfield Avenue. CT Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Wrong-Way Crash A Connecticut woman suffered life-threatening injuries during a wrong-way crash. The crash took place in New Haven County around 11:50 p.m., Monday, July 11, in Waterbury, on Route 8 South. Three Juveniles On Run After Shots Fired Near Hudson Valley Intersection Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for three juveniles who were allegedly involved in an incident of shots fired. Police in Orange County responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the city of Middletown in the area of Genung Street and Phillips Street.
