A popular Venezuelan restaurant known for its outrageous arepas has added a new location in the Hudson Valley.
Arepa Mania, long a Westchester County favorite on North Avenue in New Rochelle, has added another location in the city on Division Street, according to the owners.

Man Accused Of Attempting To Force Person Into His Car In Darien
A man was arrested in Fairfield County for allegedly grabbing a person and attempting to force them into his vehicle.
The incident took place in Darien around 1:20 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 11.
When police responded to the scene on Tokeneke Road, they found a large crowd of people and heard the victim yelling for them to get Camillus Okeke, age 53, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, away from them, said Sgt. Dan Skoumbros, of the Darien Police.
Okeke told officers he was trying to get the victim in the vehicle in order to drive them to Pennsylvania, Skoumbros said.

Police Warn Of Kids Illegally Operating Electric Bikes, Scooters, Cycles In Greenwich
Police in one Fairfield County town are warning parents that more kids are driving electric bikes, scooters, and cycles illegally on roadways.
What most don't realize, police say, is that you have to have a valid driver's license to operate the vehicles on roadways under state law, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
And sidewalks are roadways, police say.
The law defines motor-driven cycles as motor scooters, mopeds, or motorbikes with an engine size of fewer than 50 ccs, and a seat height of at least 26 inches, police said.

Woman Admits To Stealing Nearly $94K Worth of Handbags With Accomplices In Hamptons
A woman pleaded guilty to grand larceny for her part in stealing $94,000 in handbags from a luxury retail store in the Hamptons.
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced the guilty plea of Baseemah Davis on Tuesday, Aug. 16, for stealing from the Balenciaga store in East Hampton in March.

1 Killed, 5 Injured In Head-On Hudson Valley Crash
One person was killed and five injured during a head-on, three-car Hudson Valley crash.
It took place in Orange County around 8:30 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 15 in Woodbury, on Route 6.
An initial investigation of the crash revealed that a 2021 Ford Explorer was traveling east on Route 6 when the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Rockland County resident Chaim Gordon, age 24, from Spring Valley, attempted to pass a Cadillac in front of him and crossed over the double yellow line and entered the opposite lane striking a 2003 Nissan X-Terra head-on, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
