Peekskill Murder Suspect Sets Fire To Building To Avoid Capture, Police Say A Northern Westchester man who allegedly stabbed another man to death set fire to a building to avoid capture, police said. The incident began in Peekskill around 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14 on North James Street. According to Peekskill Police Chief Leo Dylewski, officers responded to the home for a report of an individual suffering from a stab wound. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 48-year-old Edward Reeves, of Peekskill, the chief said. Boyfriend Calls Cops To Admit He Shot Stamford Girlfriend In Head, Police Say A Fairfield County man is behind bars after allegedly admitting to police he shot his girlfriend in the head after she attempted to stab him. The killing took place in Stamford around 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 116 Woodside Green apartment 3A. Responding officers located the boyfriend, identified as Anthony Vines, age 40, of Stamford outside of the apartment building, said Stamford Assistant Police Chief Rich Conklin. Suspect On Loose After Man Fatally Shot In NY Road Rage Incident Following Fender Bender A suspect is on the run after shooting and killing a man in broad daylight following a road rage incident in Forest Hills, Queens. The incident took around 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at 108th Street and Horace Harding Expressway, according to the NYPD. When police arrived on the scene they found 46-year-old Jamal Artis, shot in the torso in a Chevy Impala, the NYPD said. Artis was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. 20-Something Trio Nabbed After Armed Robbery Of Food Delivery Driver In New Rochelle Three 20-something men have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Westchester County delivery driver. The incident took place in New Rochelle around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 16 Cliff St. When officers responded to a report of an armed robbery they located a food delivery driver who told police he was accosted by two male blacks both armed with handguns, who took more than $50 and jewelry from him, said Capt. Juvenile Nabbed For Breaking Into CT Home, Entering Girl's Bedroom, Police Say A juvenile has been arrested for allegedly entering a Connecticut home and then a young girl's bedroom during the early morning hours. Third Family Member Dies Following Drowning Incident In Region A third family member has died following a drowning incident in the region. Nasrin Amin, age 21, died Saturday, Sept. 10 at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
