Emergency Preparedness Exercise Set For Indian Point BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- New York State will conduct a radiological emergency preparedness exercise on Thursday at Indian Point in Buchanan. During the exercise, the state will test the emergency response plans of Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties, as well as its own plans and those of Entergy, which licenses Indian Point.

Teen Caught With Clonazepam At High School, Yorktown Police Say YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged after he was spotted possessing five clonazepam pills at Yorktown High School on Tuesday, Yorktown Police said. The teen, a Yorktown resident, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor, after the school resource officer investigated a drug complaint. Clonazepam, a sedative, is used to treat seizures, panic disorder, and anxiety. The teen was arrested at the scene and transported to headquarters. Tarrytown Celebrates Halloween With Annual Parade TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins were out in full force in Tarrytown Saturday. The village held its annual Halloween parade Saturday, which was attended by over 5,000 people. The parade featured 14 floats, marching bands and people decked out in their Halloween best.
