Mount Vernon Man Faces Gun Charges In New Rochelle Shooting
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A Mount Vernon man faces weapons charges after he was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting in New Rochelle, according to Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Raheem Jones, 26, was charged Wednesday, with felony possession of a gun, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years, Bharara said.
Police said a passenger in an SUV fired into another vehicle near the New Rochelle Day Nursery on the city’s busy Clinton Avenue around 12:40 p.m., wounding the unidentified victim three times.
