Aftermath Of Pool Pavilion Fire Tops Briarcliff Manager's Report BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Briarcliff officials are working to determine the cause of an intense fire that destroyed the village’s pool pavilion, according to Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli’s latest report. The two-story structure in Law Memorial Park on Pleasantville Road is considered to be the hub of the village. The pavilion is likely a total loss, Zegarelli said. A pool, tennis courts, an ice-skating rink, and other amenities, are located at the park. The village is committed to rebuilding the facility by Memorial Day, he said. Charlotte Motts, 40, is accused of stealing $9,465 in food stamps between 2013 and 2014, police said. According to police, Motts had concealed other sources of household income when she collected benefits from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program.
