Westport Man Pushed Woman To The Ground, Police Say
WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport resident is facing charges after pushing a woman to the ground, Westport police said.
Jose Hernandez, 33, was arrested on Friday, March 18, and charged with assault, police said.
Hernandez is accused of getting into an argument with the woman the night before and shoving her, causing her to fall and injure her right wrist and shoulder, police said.
Officers interviewed the victim at Norwalk Hospital where she was taken for treatment.
A bond of $1,000 was set for Hernandez, and a court date in Norwalk scheduled for March 21, police said.
Hydro-Pneumatic Pump Station Tests Top Village Manager's Report
BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Manor is starting up Phase 2 testing of its new Hydro-Pneumatic Pump Station located next to The Club’s entrance, according to Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli.
Testing may continue for several days, he said, and effect water pressure in the villlage’s higher elevations, especially along Lodge Road, Central Drive, and Cherry Hill.
To syphon off discolored water, the village will open several fire hydrants for a short time, Zegarelli said.
In other village news, work on Con Ed’s gas main project may still cause some traffic delays, he said.

Ex-Putnam DA's Trainer Sues Sheriff, County, Over Rape Case
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith and other officials are being sued for $45 million by a man who claims he was charged with rape as part of a political fracus, according to a report by lohud.com.
Alexandru Hossu, 38, was a live-in trainer for Adam Levy, then the Putnam County district attorney, according to multiple media reports. Levy is the son of Judge Judith Sheindlin, television's "Judge Judy."
Hossu, a Romanian immigrant who had been charged with assaulting his former lover’s teenage daughter, was acquitted in 2014, media reports said.

Crews Hope To Raise Sunken Tug, Recover 3rd Victim's Body Thursday
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- A mammoth crane will be used to raise a tugboat and recover the body of one of the 84-foot vessel’s three crew members who died when it sank in the Hudson, according to a report by lohud.
Harry Hernandez, 56, of Staten Island, was killed on Saturday, March 12, near the Tappan Zee Bridge along with Paul Amon, 63, of Bayville, N.J.; and Timothy Conklin of Westbury, N.Y., multiple media reports said.

NYC Man Arrested In Stony Point On Family Court Warrant
STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A Bronx man wanted for allegedly violating an order of protection has been arrested, Stony Point police said.
There had been a warrant out for Geza Hay, 40, for failing to appear in family court on the original charge, police said.
Hay was taken into custody by Rockland County sheriff’s deputies and turned over to Stony Point police on Friday, March 18, police said.
Hay was arraigned in Stony Point Justice Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
He was ordered to return to Stony Point Justice Court on Tuesday, April 5, police said.

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- A New Jersey man is facing drug charges after he was arrested in New Paltz last week, state police said.
Alex Malinowski, 21, of Fair Lawn in Bergen County, was piloting a 2001 Mercedes Benz SUV on Route 299 in the Ulster County town on Friday, March 19, when state police pulled him over for failing to maintain his lane, police said.
