The work that was taking place in the area of the Kimball Avenue bridge and the Sprain Brook Parkway Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will also go on on Friday during the same time. According to the traffic alert Spano posted on the city’s Facebook page, inspection work will also affect southbound traffic near DeWitt Avenue and the Sprain on Friday as well. Man Charged With Illegally Entering Pearl River Home PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- A Long Island man is facing charges after police accused him of violating an order of protection. According to Orangetown police, Scott E. Bennett, 29, of Bellmore, was arrested Monday after he allegedly entered a home in Pearl River in violation of the order. A woman at the home called police to complain. He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor; and second-degree criminal trespass, also a misdemeanor, police said. Bennett was arraigned in Orangetown Court and sent to Rockland County Jail on $1,500 bail.
