Man Smashes Window, Burglarizes Liquor Store In Northern Westchester, Police Say Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a man who broke into a Northern Westchester liquor store. The burglary happened on Tuesday, March 26 at around 1:15 a.m., when a man used a hammer to break into Vista Wine and Spirits in Lewisboro at Oakridge Commons, according to New York State Police. The suspect is described as a light-skinned man wearing a black ski mask, neon-colored gloves, a burgundy shirt, and a tan jacket. Child Struck By School Bus In Hudson Valley, Police Say A 6-year-old Hudson Valley boy is recovering after being struck by a school bus. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 in Monsey. According to Det. Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, the child was struck by a school bus on West Maple Avenue.  Franklin said the child suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance Corps. Dutchess County resident Jose J. Cruz, age 22, of Beacon, was arrested early Monday, March 25 in Hyde Park by members of the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Task Force, Cruz had been under investigation for the sale of fentanyl and other drugs in Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, and the surrounding areas.
