Stamford Mayor Martin Declares Snow Emergency: Move Your Car Off Streets STAMFORD, Conn. – Mayor David Martin has declared a Snow Emergency, effective 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, in anticipation of the impending snowstorm.  The Snow Emergency will require the removal of all vehicles on designated snow emergency streets. City parking garages will be available free of charge after 5 p.m. Wednesday through the duration of the storm. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the area from midnight until 6 p.m. Thursday. And yet another new store could soon be coming to Danbury, according to a report on WLAD. The Seattle-based coffee chain is apparently looking to open a store in the Berkshire Shopping Center on Newtown Road. Atkinson made his first All-Star team this winter for the Blue Jackets. He joined the NHL team in 2012 and has 26 goals and 22 assists. He will almost certainly eclipse his career highs of 27 goals and 26 assists, both of which he set last season. Atkinson scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 victory for the Blue Jackets over Detroit.
