3 Stamford Synchronized Skating Teams Capture Gold Medals STAMFORD, Conn. -- A record 74 teams from Texas to Maine competed at the 16th annual Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Open last week in Stamford. The competition was hosted by the Southern Connecticut Synchronized Skating (SCSS) and the Skating Club of Southern Connecticut (SCSC) . All three lines from the Stamford club, Sprites, Shimmers and Shadows, won gold medals. Norwalk Community College Students Win Sports Medicine Challenge NORWALK, Conn. -- Three students from Norwalk Community College teamed up to win the College Bowl at the fall meeting of the New England Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine in Providence, R.I. New Physician Assistant Program At Sacred Heart Addresses Critical Need FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Sacred Heart University is taking steps to address the critical need for physician assistants in Connecticut with a new 27-month program scheduled to begin next year*.
