Home Sales Fall 15 Percent In Wilton In 4th Quarter FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fourth quarter real estate sales fell in Wilton and Westport and were flat in Weston, bucking a county-wide trend. Single family home sales fell 15 percent in Wilton and 9 percent in Westport. In Weston, 32 homes exchanged hands in the fourth quarter -- the same number as the fourth quarter in 2014. In Fairfield County, however, sales jumped 8 percent during the fourth quarter according to a report from William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. Baseball Clinic Celebrates Short Life Of Charismatic Ridgefield Boy RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Max Rosenfield of Ridgefield was a young man trapped inside a 7-year-old’s body. Mature for his tender age, young Max baked brownies for play dates, birthdays and celebrations. He encouraged teammates of all abilities on his baseball, basketball and football teams. “If it was somebody’s birthday he’d write cards,’’ said his mother, Jill. “He was an extraordinary soul and had an intoxicating personality.” The young boy died suddenly on March 14, 2012. Stepinac Assistant Named Head Football Coach At Rival Iona Prep WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Iona Prep will have a familiar face strolling its football sideline in New Rochelle in the fall. Fans from Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains will also recognize the Gaels’ new coach. Joe Spagnolo, a 10-year assistant to Mike O’Donnell at Stepinac, was named the new head coach Monday. Norwalk Home Sales Improve 9 Percent In 2015 NORWALK, Conn. -- Home sales in Norwalk improved by 9 percent in 2015, according to the year-end report by William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. Fourth quarter sales rose 1 percent in Norwalk. For the year, there were 650 home sales, up from 597 in 2014. Norwalk’s trend reflected county wide trend with increased activity. Real estate sales rose 10 percent in Fairfield County in 2015, and eight percent in the final quarter. 4th Quarter Home Sales Surge 83 Percent In Monroe FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Real estate sales surged in the fourth quarter in Monroe and Stratford, according to the year-end report from William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. Home sales increased 83 percent in Monroe and 43 percent in Stratford. They were among the leaders in the final quarter for the year in Fairfield County, which saw an 8 percent increase in sales.
