Westmoreland Sanctuary Hosts Orienteering Event MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Westmoreland Sanctuary in Mount Kisco and Hudson Valley Orienteering will host Raid the Sanctuary II on Saturday, April 30. The orienteering event at the Sanctuary starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at 3. Pre-registration is recommended at Westmorelandsanctuary.org. There will be three courses available for two-person teams consisting of 10 miles, seven miles and four miles. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Stamford Board Of Realtors Fundraiser Supports Boys & Girls Club STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Board of Realtors annual St. Patrick’s Happy Hour fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford raised more than $1,400. Nearly 90 real estate agents came out wearing various hues of green in support of the Boys and Girls Club at Tomato Tomato on Shippan Avenue. The funds raised will go to benefit the Club’s mission and core programming, which includes after-school homework assistance, computers, and social cultural, sports and recreational activities. The Boys and Girls Club is located on Stillwater Avenue.

Bethel Neighborhood Shocked By Shooting Death In Murder-Suicide Attempt BETHEL, Conn. — A Bethel neighborhood was in shock late Friday afternoon after one man was found shot to death and two other adults were injured in what police were calling an attempted murder-suicide as police swarmed the area to investigate.  Bethel Police at the scene of the fatal shooting at 11 Governors Lane confirmed that all three victims had been shot, and a gun had been recovered at the home.  Bethel Police Officer Mike Libertini said police did not know why the shooting occurred and that the investigation was starting into the fatal shooting.
