Union City Man Arrested For Butt Stabbing: Hoboken Police William Paneque, a 34-year-old Union City man, was arrested for stabbing a man in the butt outside a Hoboken bar, police said. On Friday, Sept. 29 at 2 a.m., police responded to The Madd Hatter at 221 Washington Street and found a man with non-life threatening stab wounds to his buttocks, officers said. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and released after treatment, police said. Following an investigation, Paneque was identified as the suspect and he turned himself in on Sunday, Oct. 1. Paneque was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

One Killed In Car Crash: Linden Police A 77-year-old Linden man was killed in a car crash on Tuesday, Oct. 3, police said. Police responded to N Wood Avenue and West Gibbons Street after a GMC SUV making a lefthand turn collided with a Chevy SUV, officers said.. Robert Pozanski, the driver of the GMC was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
