Driver Thought He Hit Deer, It Was Belleville Woman, Prosecutors Say A 26-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning, July 1, authorities said. At 7 a.m., the Marine Mammal Stranding Center said it responded to report of a large, deceased whale in the process of washing ashore at 130th Street at Beach Haven Terrace in Long Beach Township. Landscaper Impaled By Tree in Summit: Authorities A landscaper was impaled by a tree in Summit on Friday, June 27, authorities said. The landscaper fell while trimming trees and bushes and a tree branch impaled his neck, causing significant injury, a spokesperson for the City of Summit said. Driver Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns In Fiery Crash: Morganville FD A person was hospitalized after their vehicle overturned in Morganville on Saturday, June 28, authorities said.
