Greenwich Alzheimer's Benefit Features Glen Campbell's Plight
GREENWICH, Conn. -- Kim Campbell and James Keach, director of "Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me," will speak at the upcoming Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter benefit, Celebrating Hope, on Friday, May 1, in Greenwich.
The benefit will honor country singer Glen Campbell and his efforts to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease. From 2011-12, Campbell embarked on a farewell tour with his wife, Kim, by his side to cope with Alzheimer's before a national audience. Larchmont Avenue Church Plans Annual Rummage Sale
LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- The Larchmont Avenue Church will hold its annual fundraising rummage sale from Thursday, April 30, to Saturday, May 2.
The rummage sale takes place at the church, 60 Forest Park Ave., from 7-9 p.m. April 30, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. May 1 and 9 a.m.-noon May 2.

Ernest E. Kender Jr., 80, of Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Ernest E. Kender Jr., 80, of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 4.
Born May 29, 1934, Kender worked for Bridgeport's Department of Public Works for 35 years and was a member of St. Emery's church and Yankees fan. He was an unofficial greeter for the Fairfield Home Depot.
Kender is survived by his sons, Michael Kender and his wife Rosemary, Ernest Kender III of Fairfield, and his wife, Avery, of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; twin sisters, Lillian St. George, of Florida and Rosemary McAndrews and her husband, Martin, of Trumbull; one bro…
