Yorktown Resident Charged With Traffic Violations YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Edward Tompkins, a 54-year-old Yorktown resident, was charged with numerous traffic violations, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Police said an officer was investigating property damage during a June 5 auto accident on Greenwood Street. After the investigation, Tompkins was found to be operating a motor vehicle while his registration was suspended, a misdemeanor, police said.
