Norwalk Hosts Final Walk To End Alzheimer's
NORWALK, Conn. – Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk was awash in purple during the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, Connecticut Chapter.
The Fairfield County event represented the last of six walks held throughout Connecticut in Enfield, Hartford, New Haven, New London and New Milford. The walks, which attracted a total of 8,000 participants, are dedicated to Connecticut residents impacted by Alzheimer’s, including 72,000 individuals who suffer from the disease and their 176,000 caregivers. Danbury Library Presents 'Hour Of Code' Kids' Workshops
DANBURY, Conn. – The Danbury Library will present "Hour of Code," a workshop series aimed at introducing children to computer science, from Monday, Dec. 8, to Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at 170 Main St. in
Danbury, Conn.
The library is partnering with Danbury Hackerspace in joining the worldwide mission to introduce 100 million students to computer science. Children ages 5 and up may participate in one-hour workshops designed to stimulate their imagination.

Darien Library Hosts Acabella Holiday Concert
DARIEN, Conn. — Join this event in the Louise Parker Berry Community Room Sunday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. as they enjoy a mix of holiday tunes and pop music favorites from local a cappella group Acabella.
Acabella was founded in 2001 by two friends who had recently moved to Darien and were eager to sing a cappella music, as they had done in college. The group was named Acabella, which combines the musical term, a cappella, which means unaccompanied by musical instruments, and bella, the Italian word for beautiful.
