Officers will be looking for naughty and nice motorists as well as pedestrians. North Salem Man Charged With DWI In Putnam PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A North Salem man has been charged with driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation in the Town of Southeast, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Sheriff Kevin Radovich stopped the man for a traffic violation on Route 6 in Southeast on Saturday, according to the sheriff.  The deputy arrested the driver, Gary R. Briarcliff HS's Food For Friends Donate To Food Bank For Westchester BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- In an effort to raise awareness and combat local hunger, Briarcliff High School’s Food for Friends group collected donations to bring to the Elmsford-based Food Bank for Westchester in time for the holidays. Co-Presidents Lauren Ballini and Komal Keerthy headed up the food drive at Briarcliff High, with the help of advisers Annmarie O’Brien and Michael Muranelli. The drive collected 406 pounds of food for the Food Bank for Westchester.

Smith reports the arrest of three men having ties to Putnam Valley on several criminal charges stemming from their alleged involvement in stealing items from unlocked parked cars. In the early morning hours of Nov. 25, the sheriff’s office received a report of suspicious activity at Cindy Lane in Putnam Valley. As a result of that report, a number of items believed to have been stolen were recovered.
