Stamford Adds Hours At Government Center For Beach Sticker Sales STAMFORD, Conn. -- In another sign of spring, beach stickers are now required for Stamford residents who are heading to the city's parks along Long Island Sound.  Permits are required to visit Cove Island; Cummings; West Beach; Newman Mills Riverbank Walk; Southfield; and Dorothy Heroy parks from May 1 through Sept. 30.
