4-Year-Old Killed In Bridgeport Car Crash Was 'Wild Man,' Family Says
A 4-year-old boy who was involved in a crash in Bridgeport that killed his aunt has died from his injuries.
The crash took place Monday, March 6 in Bridgeport, according to Scott Appleby with the Bridgeport Police.
Appleby said two adults and two children were in an SUV that was struck from behind at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Colony Street.
Killed during the crash was New Haven resident Chelsey Naesha Torres, age 24, of Seymour, police said.

Suspect From West Haven Nabbed In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Couple Leaving Wake In Seymour
A second suspect has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run that killed two in Connecticut last year.
New Haven County resident Riqui Irigoyen-Flores, age 31, of West Haven, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 16, for his involvement following the fatal crash in Seymour.
Riqui Irigoyen-Flores is the brother of Jair Irigoyen-Flores, who was arrested for hitting and killing James and Barbara Tamborra, both age 81, on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, as they crossed Route 67 after leaving a wake, Seymour Police said at the time of the incident.

A massage therapist, who did not have a license, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a customer in Fairfield County.
New Haven County resident Lisa Daubenhauser, age 43, of Seymour, was arrested in Shelton on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
The arrest stems from a complaint Shelton Police took from a woman who said she received a massage at M Spa located at 61 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton, said Det. Richard Bango, of the Shelton Police.

Trio Nabbed After Robbery Spree Targeting CT Stores Statewide
Three Connecticut men have been charged with committing at least eight robberies of convenience and smoke shops across the state earlier this year.
The three were indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, June 16 in New Haven County, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Those charged include Steven Galarza, age 24, of Seymour; Efrain Deleon, age 58, and Gilberto Deleon, age 56, both of New Britain, officials said.

A Fairfield County man was seriously injured in a crash after he allegedly lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median, and hit two cars driving in the opposite direction.
Connecticut State Police said the crash took place in New Haven County around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Seymour.

Fairfield County 31-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash
A Connecticut man was killed after losing control of his vehicle in a single-vehicle crash, according to authorities.
Fairfield County resident Andrew Chapin, ag 31, of Shelton, was killed around 8 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the town of Seymour in New Haven County, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to troopers, Chapin was driving a Kawasaki Motorcycle, northbound on Route 8, in the area of Exit 21, Town of Seymour when he failed to "maintain a proper lane and veered toward the right shoulder."
Chapin was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, troopers said.

A Connecticut woman is celebrating after winning a lottery prize of more than $138,000.
Laura Giovanetti, of Seymour in New Haven County, is a Fast Play "Money Vault" winner, CT Lottery announced.
She claimed her $138,199 prize on Monday, Sept. 20.
"When I bought my ticket I saw the jackpot drop back down to $5,000, so I knew somebody had just won," she said. "When I scanned my ticket in the ticket checker, I realized that somebody was me!"
