First responders were pulling a body from the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Mercer County on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, authorities said. New Jersey State Park Police and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team were called to a part of the canal in Lawrence Township to recover the body, according to Caryn Shinske, a spokeswoman with the state Department of Environmental Protection.
