The Suffolk County Police Department will hold its next property auction on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
Among the hot items up for grabs, according to police, are a San Diego Padres Dave Winfield baseball card, several comic books, and jewelry that may or may not be real.
There’s also a generator, tools, some Ugg boots, iPhones, and at least two bicycles.
All of the items were seized by police during criminal investigations, a department spokesperson told Daily Voice.

Bucks County Gun Trafficker Learns His Fate
A convicted gun trafficker in Bucks County will spend five to 10 years in state prison, authorities announced.
Bashir T. Shakir, 25, of Yeadon, was convicted of twelve felonies connected to straw purchases of firearms that were later uncovered in criminal investigations across the mid-Atlantic, said Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub in a statement Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Police Officer Among 9 Charged In PA Meth Ring
A police officer was among nine people charged in the takedown of a Pennsylvania meth ring, authorities said.
Kevin E. Davis, an officer with the Hanover Township Police Department, was the owner of a stash house in Wilkes-Barre where agents seized 10 pounds of meth worth over $600,000, 2.7 pounds of fentanyl, 10 pounds of marijuana, and $15,063 in cash, Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a June 17 release.

Pedestrian Struck, Killed While Retrieving Something From His Car In Toms River: Police
A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash in Ocean County, authorities said.
The fatal crash occurred at about 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the intersection of Bay Avenue and Twin Oaks Drive, Toms River police said.
An initial investigation found that Ashley Beams, 31, of Toms River, was traveling east on Bay Avenue when she failed to maintain her lane, traveling in the shoulder, and struck a pedestrian who was parked retrieving something from his vehicle, police said. The vehicles traveled approximately 96 feet before coming to rest, police said.

Four men were arrested and Atlantic City police recovered two handguns and 50 bags of heroin in separate incidents, authorities said on Monday.
At about 6 p.m. on Friday, Atlantic City police officers William Akins III and Justice Martin responded to the 1600 block of Adriatic Avenue on a report of a hit-and-run crash.
The driver who allegedly left the scene, Hassan Muhammad, 39, of Absecon, returned a short time later, Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman, said on Monday.

Undercover Prostitution Sting Nets 5 In Secaucus
Four women and one man were arrested in an undercover prostitution sting in Secaucus, police said.
"A majority of our violent crimes are related to the prostitution at some of our hotels," Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
"Therefore, to address the root cause -- prostitution -- we conducted an undercover prostitution sting.
The locations are not being released due to ongoing investigations, the chief said.

Want To Be An NJ State Trooper? Agency Accepting Applications Soon
The New Jersey State Police will begin accepting applications for troopers beginning April 29. Applications, which will be available online, will be accepted until May 12, the agency said.
In a filmed segment Thursday, Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver invited men and women of all racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds to apply.
The agency's approximately 3,000 troopers patrol state highways, support local law enforcement, conduct investigations and maintain vital criminal records, among other functions. The starting salary for troopers is $62, 736.93.
