A 33-year-old man who served prison time for killing a husband and wife in a Xanax-fueled crash in New York has been arrested again, this time on robbery and burglary charges in Bergen County, authorities said Thursday, Aug. 20.
On Sunday, Aug. 16, officers responded to the parking garage at 170 Prospect Ave. in Hackensack on a report of someone burglarizing vehicles, Hackensack police said. Upon arrival, they encountered one of the vehicle owners and security for the building, in a physical confrontation with the suspect, later identified as Matthew Sindone, police said.

Two young men killed when their sports car crashed into a tree after fleeing an officer at speeds topping 100 mph in Westchester County had stolen loaded handguns and were wearing face coverings, police said.
Yonkers resident Ryan Herrera, 20, and Bronx resident Jadden D. Sanabria, 21, died following the crash on Route 9A in Mount Pleasant early Friday, Aug. 14, Mount Pleasant Police confirmed in an announcement on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Herrera was driving the red Toyota Supra, while Sanabria was the passenger, according to police.

A serious head-on crash left people injured and drew a large emergency response to a Rockland County intersection, according to reports.
The collision happened late Tuesday night, Aug. 18, at Saddle River Road and Millrose Lane in South Monsey, The Monsey Scoop reported.
