Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Family, Pets Displaced After Fire Tears Through Gaithersburg Home One family is displaced after their Gaithersburg home caught fire, authorities say. Officials responded to the scene in the early afternoon of Monday, Feb. 6 after the home on Hutton Street caught fire, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer.  The fire was contained and under control shortly after firefighters arrived, but damages left the family of four and their dog displaced.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation. All occupants of the house were able to escape. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Earl Estep III, 40, was identified as the victim in a fatal crash that occurred the night of Saturday, Feb. 4, according to a Prince George's County police spokesperson. Officers located Estep's vehicle after he crashed in the 14200 block of Brandywine Road around 10:10 p.m. Investigation revealed that Estep was driving south on Brandywine Road when his car crossed the double yellow centerline, running off the road and striking a tree. 16-Year-Old Loses Life To Baltimore Gun Violence, Police Say A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Baltimore over the weekend, authorities say. Police have identified Andres Moreno Jr as the victim in the shooting that took place in the 1800 block of East 29th Street around 6:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 5, according to Baltimore police.
