Charges Upgraded For 20-Year-Old Man After Pedestrian Dies In Hudson County Hit-Run Crash Charges were upgraded for two people arrested in a hit-and-run crash after the victim died over the weekend, authorities in Hudson County said. Samuel Collazo, a 20-year-old Westfield resident, was identified as the driver of the motorcycle that struck Angel Guzman Morales, 54, of Union City, last Saturday, Aug. 17, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. School Bus Crash Leaves 10 Kids, 1 Adult Injured In Glen Gardner: Police Ten children and one adult were injured in a school bus crash Sunday, Aug. 25 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey State Police said. The bus was heading south on State Highway 31 in Glen Gardner, when the driver lost control at milepost 37.5 around 3:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The bus hit a mailbox and ended up in a ditch, leaving the 10 children and one adult with minor injuries, Lebron said. The crash investigation remains ongoing.

Man Wanted By US Marshals Captured During Traffic Stop In Morris County: Police A 33-year-old man wanted by the U.S. Marshals was arrested following a traffic stop in Morris County, police said. Marcus Olivera-Leon, of Elizabeth, was stopped in an unregistered vehicle for having a brake light out on Augusta Street and Legion Place in Denville around 9:40 p.m. on Aug. 23, local police said. Olivera-Leon, had active warrants for his arrest, and had been wanted by the United States Marshals, according to police. Police said only that he was wanted for violating probation. Police ID Wayne Teen Killed By Boat Propellor In NJ Waters (Details) Police have identified the victim killed by a boat propellor over the weekend at a New Jersey beach. Zeina Mahafzah, of Wayne, was on a raft being pulled by a boat in the waters of Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars when she was struck by the vessel's propellor on Sunday, Aug. 25 around 4:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Mahafzah, who had been trying to board the boat, died. NBC Philadelphia previously reported the scene was a gory one, as Mahafzah had been "dismembered." Mahafzah died as a result of the accident.

Route 17 Pursuit Leads To Eventual Arrest Of Hit-Run Driver, Police Say A 50-year-old hit-and-run driver was arrested after police say he led a pursuit along Route 17 last week. Vincent Vespe, of Montvale, struck another vehicle in a white Toyota Tacoma in Wood-Ridge on Aug. 19, Lyndhurst Police Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
