She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

I-84 Crash Involving School Bus Ends With 2 Vehicles On Fire A crash between a Hudson Valley school bus and a car left both vehicles in flames. The incident occurred in Orange County in the town of Wallkill around 9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17 on I-84. Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police said troopers from the Greenville barracks responded to a reported collision involving a Minisink Valley Central School District bus and a Hyundai Elantra on I-84 in the town of Wallkill. Fatal Incident: Person Jumps From Bridgeport Overpass Into Route 8 Traffic A person died overnight after allegedly jumping off the Route 8 overpass into traffic in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17 on the overpass at Chopsey Hill Road. Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, said Connecticut State Police notified the Bridgeport Police over the hotline that a pedestrian was struck on Route 8 northbound near the exit ramp. Shelton Worker Burned During Equipment Fire A Fairfield County worker was burned during an equipment fire at a business. The incident took place in Shelton around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 16 at 30 Oliver Terrace, said the Shelton Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the business on a report of an equipment fire and several reports of a loud explosion in the area, the department said. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found smoke visible from the machine that inside the building. Man Accused Of Shooting 8-Year-Old In Ear In Bridgeport During Drive-By A 23-year-old man has been accused of shooting an 8-year-old boy in the ear during a drive-by in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Bridgeport on Sunday, July 23 in the 300 block of Orchard Street. According to Capt. Greenwich Schools Threat Likely 'Swatting' Incident, Police Say A threat to schools in a Fairfield County town has been deemed a swatting incident by officials. The incident took place on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when police became aware of a vague threat through social media directed against the Greenwich School System and one of the town’s middle schools. Fatal Crash: Man Hit On Long Island Roadway Police on Long Island are investigating a fatal crash that killed a man along a busy roadway. It happened in Hempstead around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16 in the area of Peninsula Boulevard in the vicinity of President Street. Nassau County Police said the man was struck by a 2006 Nissan Ultima traveling southbound on Peninsula Boulevard. The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police said. Danbury Teacher's Aide Accused Of Making 4 School Bomb Threats Following a 10-month investigation, a Fairfield County teacher's aide was charged with threatening and breach of peace after allegedly making four bomb threats at the school where she worked. Litchfield County resident Amber Davidson, age 36, of New Milford, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 12, said Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Police Department. Man From Region Arrested 4 Times In 2-Week Span For Stalking, Police say A man from the region was arrested four times in two weeks for allegedly stalking and harassing an employee of a local bank. Sullivan County resident Jhakem Degroat, age 31, of Monticello was arrested for the fourth time in Liberty on Friday, Oct. 13, said Chief Steven D’Agata of the Liberty Police. Hudson Valley Political Consultant Nabbed For Grand Larceny, DA Says A Hudson Valley man has been indicted for alleged grand larceny after stealing more than $7,000 from a political campaign committee. Rockland County resident Michael Bookman, age 40, from Bardondia, a hamlet of Clarkstown, was charged on Friday, Oct. 13, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh. In addition to grand larceny, Bookman was also charged with falsifying business records and issuing a bad check, the DA's Office said.
