She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. 2 Teens Killed In Multi-Vehicle CT Crash A two-vehicle crash in Connecticut claimed the lives of two young people including an 18-year-old high school senior and a 15-year-old. The Hartford County crash, between a motorcycle and an SUV, took place in Glastonbury around 7 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 25 on Hebron Avenue. According to Capt. Mark Catania, of the Glastonbury Police, the department responded to the area near the Exit 2 on-ramp after another driver reported the crash. Woman Killed In Head-On Route 9W Crash A 41-year-old woman was killed during a head-on crash when a car veered into her lane of travel. The crash took place in on Route 9W around 6. p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 in the town of Athens in Greene County. According to Capt. Tracey Quinn, of the Greene County Sheriff's Office, arriving officers found two vehicles that sustained heavy damage. Yorktown Man Charged With Forcible Touching After Walk-In Complaint A Northern Westchester man has been arrested for allegedly forcibly touching a woman against her will on two separate occasions. The incident was reported in Yorktown on Thursday, Aug. 25 by the woman who reported the incident to Yorktown Police. An investigation led police to Jose Pablo Cruz, age 40, of Yorktown who turned himself in to police on Thursday, Sept. 22, said the Yorktown Police. Bicyclist Struck In Westhampton Airlifted To Hospital, Police Say A bicyclist hit by a vehicle was airlifted to a Long Island hospital. The incident took place in Westhampton around 10:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 26 on Old Riverhead Road. Southampton Town police responded and requested additional personnel for assistance, said Lt. CT Man Crashes Into Pair Of Police Cruisers A Connecticut man rammed two police cruisers following a short police pursuit, after allegedly being found unconscious behind the wheel of his car. The incident took place in North Haven on Saturday, Sept. 24 on Dixwell Avenue. North Haven officers located a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of a road, in the Dixwell Avenue area, with a man in the driver seat who appeared to be unconscious, said the North Haven police. Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Separate SUVs In NY Crash Involving CT Resident A man who was struck by two SUVs after allegedly running out in front of the first vehicle on Long Island has died from his injuries. The incident took place in Flanders around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, on Route 105. According to Lt. Susan Ralph, with the Southampton Police, the man died on Sunday night from injuries sustained during the crash. The medical examiner is working to identify the victim. 2 Police Officers Injured After Driver Crashes Into Patrol Car In Yonkers Two Westchester police officers were injured after an alleged drunk driver pulled over for traffic violations backed into their police cruiser. The incident took place in Yonkers around 3 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 on Bronx River Road. According to Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police, during the stop the driver backed his vehicle into the police car. The officers received minor injuries, police said. The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and charged with DUI.

Woman, Dog Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Central Islip A woman and her dog were rescued by two Long Island police officers during a house fire. The incident took place in Central Islip around 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 24. Know Him? Police Asking For Help Identifying Long Island Bank Robber Police on Long Island are seeking the public's help to identify and locate a man who allegedly robbed a bank in February. The robbery took place in Elwood around 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, at the TD Bank on the Jericho Turnpike.
