Police Investigating After Man Found Dead In Ronkonkoma Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man found dead on a Long Island street. The incident occurred in Ronkonkoma around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 on Remington Boulevard. Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death after being found unconscious on the side of Remington Boulevard, near 6th Street. The man, who is in his late 50s, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. Identification of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Hudson Valley Man Wanted For Disseminating Indecent Material To Minors Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help locating a man wanted for allegedly disseminating indecent materials to underage girls. Hayez D. Prelich, age 25, known to frequent both Dutchess and Ulster counties, is wanted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office for felony disseminating indecent material to minors and criminal contempt. According to the Sheriff's Office, Prelich has an extensive history of communicating with underage girls and sending obscene material. Teen Duo In Stolen Car Nabbed In Connection To Shots-Fired Incident Over CT Highway Two Connecticut teens were nabbed in connection to a stolen car and shots fired incident. The Hartford County incident took place in Southington around 1:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23. According to Southington Police Lt. Keith Egan, the department received a call for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lots of Garden Path Florist, located at 1239 Shuttle Meadow Road. Hudson Valley Man Indicted For Attempted Murder In Hammer Attack, Police Chase A Hudson Valley man who allegedly attempted to kill his girlfriend with a hammer and then took police on a wild chase before crashing into a state police cruiser has been indicted for attempted murder. Hudson Valley Woman Loses Control Of Car, Lands In Creek, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was rescued after she lost control of her car and landed in an area creek. Ulster County resident Marlene Sommers, age 60, of Saugerties, was rescued around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 after driving her 2010 Subaru Outback into a creek, said Joseph Sinagra Chief of Saugerties Police. CT Man Nabbed For Fatal Hit-Run Charged With Manslaughter, Police Say A Connecticut man has been nabbed for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 52-year-old. Jahbez Copeland, age 23, of South Windsor, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 26, by Hartford Police for the crash which took place on Saturday, Jan. 1 in the area of Main and Battles Street. Dutchess County resident George Foster, age 39, of Wappinger, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 16, said Trooper AJ Hicks. On Oct. 16, troopers began investigating the theft of catalytic converters at the Sheep and Wool Festival hosted by the Dutchess County Fair Grounds, Hicks said. Police, FBI Looking To Locate Man Wanted For Rape Of Minor In Hudson Valley The New York State Police and the FBI are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly raped a minor in the Hudson Valley. Jesus Torres, age 31, of Goshen, is wanted on an extraditable warrant for raping a female child in Orange County, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The Southern District of New York has also issued a warrant for Torres for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, Nevel said. Stratford Man Nabbed For Murder Of 29-Year-Old Bridgeport Resident A Fairfield County man has been charged in the shooting death of a 29-year-old man and the wounding of two others. Joseph DeJesus, formerly known as Joseph Reyes, age 38, of Stratford, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 25 for the Saturday, Oct. 8 shooting death of Dominique Jones, of Bridgeport, said Capt. CT State Police Seek Witnesses To Rollover Crash On Busy Roadway Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle crash that killed a 28-year-old man. The crash took place in Windham County on Tuesday, Oct. 25 on I-395 in Killingly. According to state police, Dylan Goulet, of Brooklyn, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on I-395 in Killingly when for an unknown reason, the Tahoe went off the roadway into a dirt median. Goulet then went across both lanes of the highway and rolled several times. He died from his injuries. Anyone with information regarding this crash is being asked to contact state police at 860-779-4900.
