Man Accused Of Threatening DCF Guard With Gun In Bridgeport
A 26-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested after he allegedly threatened a security guard with a gun at the State Department of Children and Families offices.
The incident took place in Bridgeport around 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 17, at 100 Fairfield Ave.
Police responded to the offices on a report of a man smoking marijuana in the building, and then threatening a security guard with a gun after he was ordered to leave, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.

Long Island 19-Year-Old Sentenced For Fatal Christmas Crash While Under Influence
A 19-year-old Long Island man who was under the influence on Christmas Day when he hit and killed another man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide and other charges.
The crash took place in Suffolk County on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, in Islip.
According to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney, Jonnathan Zhicaypincay, of Bay Shore, was sentenced Monday, March 20, to five to 15 years in prison for striking two pedestrians with an SUV, killing one of them, while he was driving drunk and high on cannabis and cocaine.

21-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Crash By Man High On Drugs, Police Say
A Long Island man has been charged with driving while high on drugs after he was involved in a motor vehicle crash that killed a 21-year-old.
The incident took place in Centereach around 5 p.m., March 19 on Middle Country Road, near Wood Road.
Christopher Guzman, age 39, of Farmingville, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on Middle Country Road, his truck struck the side of an eastbound 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by a 66-year-old Coram woman, said the Suffolk County Police.
