22-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Train In Hicksville
A local resident was struck and killed by a Long Island Railroad train over the weekend.
Suffolk County resident Tyshawn R. Hunter, age 22, of Port Jefferson Station, was struck around 11 p.m., Friday, March 24 in Nassau County near the Hicksville Station, according to the MTA.
The incident occurred west of the Hicksville station in an area unauthorized for pedestrians, MTA officials said.
Service was initially suspended between Mineola and Hicksville Stations.
MTA police, EMS, and the LIRR supervision team responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.

Hudson Valley Drug Dealer Nabbed With Heroin, Crack, Police Say
A Hudson Valley alleged drug dealer was nabbed with heroin and crack during an early morning no-knock warrant search.
The incident took place in Orange County around 5:30 a.m., Friday, March 24 at 147 Prospect Ave., in the city of Middletown.
The target of the warrant, Kenneth L. Middleton, age 25, of the city of Middletown, was the subject of a months-long investigation into the sale and trafficking of illegal narcotics, specifically heroin, in and around the city of Middletown, Lt. Jeffrey Thoelen said, of the Middletown Police.

47-Year-Old Charged With Residential Burglary, Theft Of Vehicle In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with an alleged residential burglary that included the theft of a vehicle.
Orange County resident Clarence Hulzenga, of New Windsor, was arrested in Newburgh on Wednesday, March 22, said New. Windsor Police Chief Daniel Valeri.
Hulzenga was arrested in connection with a residential burglary on Saturday, March 18, in which numerous items were stolen including a motor vehicle, on Barberry Lane in New Windsor, the chief said.
An investigation led to Hulzenga who was located in the city of Newburgh, police said.
